Bills reported from public bill committees

28.127Under the provisions of Standing Order No 73, a bill reported from a public bill committee, whether amended or not, must be considered on report by the House.1 No formal proceeding takes place upon the report, but the House is deemed to have ordered the bill to be considered on a day fixed by the Member in charge and an entry to that effect is made in the Votes and Proceedings. If the Member in charge fails to name a day, the bill is put down in the remaining orders for consideration on the next sitting day.2
