Hybridising amendments

30.72A bill may become prima facie hybrid as a result of an amendment made to it (and a hybrid bill may be amended in such a way as to affect private or local interests not previously affected). If an amendment is agreed to which, in the opinion of the Public Bill Office, has such an effect, the bill may be referred to the Examiners before its next stage, on a motion moved by the Senior Deputy Speaker.1
